There are many resort options at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida. These resorts are broken down into five major categories: Disney’s Value Resorts, Disney’s Moderate Resorts, Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, Disney’s Deluxe Villa Resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Guests are also welcome to stay at two non-Disney properties located in the center of the complex in the Epcot®/Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ area, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. Descriptions for all categories are grouped and listed below. Also note:
- All resort rates vary based on the type of room selected, travel dates and day of the week (weekends higher). Discounts are offered throughout the year which are at times available on room only reservations and at times available on packages (room and theme park tickets).
- All resort guests receive benefits that are not offered to non-Disney hotel guests. These benefits include impressive themed resorts, being immersed in Disney magic all throughout your stay, fabulous pools, clean and well-maintained grounds, impeccable landscaping, security, convenience, theme park transportation (via bus, boat and/or monorail depending on the resort), Extra Magic Hours, room charge privileges, resort package delivery, preferred tee times, Disney’s Magical Express and the ability to add the Disney Dining Plan to their package.
- All Disney resorts are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas. There is a room cleaning charge assessed if the room is smoked in by a guest.
- Also available are non-Disney owned properties located near the Downtown Disney® area and a grouping of Good Neighbor hotels in the immediate area. Please contact us for more information on those properties.

- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge- Rustic yet luxurious, this resort is themed after the American Old West. You can even visit a geyser that erupts daily! 728 rooms including suites. 2008 rates start at $225/night. 2009 rates start at $240/night.

- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort- 552 villas, Equestrian themed with golf course on premises and within walking distance to the Downtown Disney® area. 2008 rates start at $285/night. 2009 rates start at $295/night.
- Disney’s Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge-Construction slated to complete in 2009 but many rooms are now available. 2008 rates start at $265/night. 2009 rates start at $269/night.
- Disney’s Villas at Wilderness Lodge- 181 villas (no 3 bedrooms). 2008 rates start at $315/night. 2009 rates start at $325/night.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground:
- A grouping of its own, this resort stands out as an opportunity to go back to nature and relax in a serene environment. Cabins moved to the Moderate Resort classification in 2008 but pricing and amenities remain the same.
- 784 campsites and 409 cabins are available
- Cabins and Campsites include picnic tables and charcoal grills. Cabins also feature kitchens.
- Pets are allowed at campsites with an additional fee.
- Additional charge of $2 per adult per night (campsite) and $5 per adult per night (cabin) for more than two adults
- Campsites offer partial hook-up (electric and water) with rates for 2008 starting at $42/night, $43/night in 2009. This includes 1 pop-up or 2 tents or 1 van camper and sleep 4 adults plus a child under 3 in a crib.
- There are also campsites that offer full hook-up (electric, water and sewer) with rates for 2008 starting at $47/night, $57/night in 2009. This includes 2 Tents plus 1 of the following, Motorhome, Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel and sleep 10 plus a child under 3 in a crib.
- Preferred campsites are available starting at $56/night ($62/night in 2009) which include the same options as the full hook-up sites with the addition of cable and being able to sleep 10 plus a child under 3 in a crib.
- Premium campsites are also available starting at $66/night ($72/night in 2009) which include full hook-up (electric, water, sewer, cable), upgraded amenities and are big rig friendly. These campsites are able to sleep 10 plus a child under 3 in a crib and include one tent plus 1 of the following: motorhome, travel trailer or 5th wheel.
- Cabins are available that sleep up to 6 and are air-conditioned. The sleeping configuration is 1 double bed, a set of bunk beds and one double Murphy bed. 2008 rates start at $255/night. 2009 rates start at $265/night.
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels:
- Large resort complex in the Epcot®/Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ area
- Adjacent to Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment district
- Benefits similar to Disney hotel guests including on site Disney ticketing, Extra Magic Hours, preferred tee times but not including Disney’s Magical Express and room charge privileges.
